New B2B delivery model puts new product in hands of retail decision makers

Australia’s first product sampling service for independent retailers, Stock Box, is set to put new products directly into the hands of retail decision makers.
According to Craig Matthews, founder and managing director of One Big Idea Pty Ltd, “Our mission is to provide suppliers and manufacturers with a voice, and give retailers the choice on new products to the market”.
“Small stores are big business, and there are huge benefits for suppliers as well as retailers from the Stock Box program.
“Retailers who register for our free service receive new product samples delivered direct to their store, and feedback received from our retail members is used by suppliers to assist in their planning and negotiations.
“By presenting new products to the market this way, we can get to more retailers in the shortest amount of time and more efficiently, making the decision making process of product suitability easier” Mr Matthews went on to say.
Stock Box facilitates the opportunity for suppliers to increase their rate of success by putting their products in the hands of more retailers in the shortest amount of time, and for the lowest cost. “We do not negotiate terms or trading arrangements with any groups or individual site owners. We just assist in answering that all important question of product suitability and acceptance,” commented Mr Matthews.
Research shows that 95% of all new products entering the market fail within the first 12 months due to time, money and resource issues. It is a fact that new products have a greater rate of success if sampling is provided as part of a company’s marketing strategy.
