In March 2012 AACS commissioned a survey to understand how senior people associated with our industry perceived the then new carbon tax.
The results were:

The biggest impact feared then was the potential for increased utility costs.
Well, the carbon tax has now been repealed so retailers and suppliers should start to see some benefits flowing back to their businesses.
The ACCC has been given powers to ensure that where costs were increased as a direct result of the carbon tax, consequent reductions should take place with its removal.
