It’s on again after another terrific result last year and worthy winners!
These awards are to recognise the significant contribution women play in convenience retailing from retailers, and supplier communities.
Woman of the Year
Retailer or Supplier from a non-management level that is making an impact to their company and industry at the early stages of their career. These nominees will be making a positive impact across their business through innovation or creativity in their approach. They will demonstrate challenge to the status quo and be recognised for the changes they have influenced or implemented.
Rising Star
Retailer or Supplier from a non-management level that is making an impact to their company and industry at the early stages of their career. These nominees will be making a positive impact across their business through innovation or creativity in their approach. They will demonstrate challenge to the status quo and be recognised for the changes they have influenced or implemented.
The judging panel will include members of the AACS Women in Convenience committee and the AACS Board. Final short lists will only be reviewed by independent members not from the same company as the nominees.
All winners will receive recognition in the October/November C&I magazine, a double pass to the AACS annual summit and gala dinner and a $500 voucher to ‘Business Chicks’ to be used at any of their industry events throughout the year.
Nominations are open from March 1st 2019 and will close on May 30th 2019. Nominations will not be considered if submitted after that date.
Winners will be announced at the AACS Gala & Awards dinner on August 15th in Sydney

Around 60 people attended that AACS Women in Convenience event in Melbourne last week. We heard from the inspirational Australian skiing champion Jacqui Cooper on her story of vision, motivation, perseverace and success – lessons that resonated with all in both their provate and business lives.
