AACS Convenience Leaders Summit

The venue: The Sebel Heritage Yarra Valley, Heritage Avenue, Chirnside Park VIC 3116 Just a quick reminder that the AACS Convenience Leaders Summit will take place at the Sebel Heritage, Yarra Valley, Victoria on the 29th and 30th November. There will be a charity golf afternoon on the 28th November at the same venue with proceeds going to the Royal Children’s Hospital- a great opportunity to catch up with others in the industry. The cost of the Summit attendance [excluding the golf afternoon, but including all sessions and the main dinner on Thursday 29th November] will be $395 plus GST per person. Increased tobacco tax will represent a new low in revenue raising

October 17th 2012 If a further 25 per cent tax increase on tobacco is introduced, as Health Minister Tanya Plibersek has refused to rule out, it will represent a shameful new low for a Government no longer even attempting to disguise its grab for revenue. Australian winners!

AACS congratulates Lilian Mikhail from 7-Eleven and Jonathon Bowring from PML for winning their categories in the international scholarship competition held at NACS in Las Vegas on Sunday. There were strong presentations from NZ and Canada, however the Aussies came out ahead. This follows their wins at the PJ Award judging in Melbourne in August. THE humble baked bean has been transformed into a pastry-covered breakfast or snack, but does the Aussie public have the stomach for it? Even SPC Ardmona managing director Vince Pinneri admits the company’s new BIG Bean Bar and Pocket creations may sound a bit strange.
